Nintendo Wii Zelda Mario Brainage2 Transformers Tennis buyers remorse

Nintendo Wii video games

I had to buy some gifts for my kids and was running out of ideas. Finally I remembered having been asked for “Transformers” Nintendo Wii games couple of days ago. Armed with this information I stepped into the nearest Best Buy store. Proceeded to the games section and having no idea which games are popular asked the sales associate for some tips. She pointed me towards Zelda- the twilight princess, Mario Party eight, Paper Mario unable to decide between the three I grabbed them all. I also bought the “Transformers- the game” the original request. My kids also have Nintendo DSs and I recently heard this ad in FM radios about Brainage2which can help in keeping memory sharp. This was a good excuse to buy Brainage2, so that got added to my shopping cart. The final tab- a cool $207.00! I balked at it first but then I thought, I owe my living to software development, for a change why not give something back and spend on some luxury software titles. There you have it, a valid reason to buy something, and then going for it! This is how most of my emotional purchases are made. Back to home, the kids were ecstatic and I got a hug from my youngest of the two! Three days since then and the kids are busy, engaged , entertained, you name it..I asked them if the games were worth the $40- $49 I paid on average for them, the answer was an unequivocal yes, actually they say, much more than that!
I think Nintendo’s Wii is definitely revolutionary, you can actually see the kid swinging the remote like a sword and fighting the monsters. I also play occasional Tennis on it! Truly an out of box thinking! For a while the physics expert and the engineer in me was thinking what kind of modeling it would have taken to design the bouncing tennis balls and the acceleration and the angle of attack and the coefficient of restitution etc etc, I gave up, the engineering team truly deserves accolades, hats off to them! I have no buyers remorse at this point!
